My INTERVIEW with KRISTOFFER


Victoria: First of all, as far as I know, you started to skate at 5 years old. Does your family have any connection with sport. I mean, did your parents and your sister or do they do now some kinds of sport?
Kristoffer: Yes, they did sport, but not figure skating. My father played hockey and football.
V: Sister, mother?
K: Not so much. My sister skated, but she does not do it now.
V: How old is she now?
K: She is 12!
V: I see. Let’s talk a little bit about your coach Andrea Dohany. By the way, if I’m not mistaken, she is from Hungary?
K: Yes!
V:Is she your coach from the beginning or you had another coach before?
K: She was always my coach.
V: Who helps Andrea to work with you?
K: You mean in club?
V: yes.
K: hmmm… Most of the time it is only Andrea!
V: But you also worked with Kudriavcev..
K: oh, yes! Of course!In summer I skate with him. Sometimes I come to Moscow.
V: But mostly you skate at your home rink, which situated in Gothenburg?
K: Yes!
V: Do you think, that the new system of judgment is more fair than previous?
K: It’s hard question … It’s ok for me. I don’t think, it is worth than previous. But at the beginning it’s a little bit hard to get used to it.
V: Are you going to take part in Olympic Games 2006?
K: I hope so ! ( Smiles)
V: I read in one article about you, you will continue to skate at least until 2006. 2006 is very soon:)
So will you continue to skate next season?
K:Yes, of course. In 2008 there will be World championship in Gothenburg. Maybe I will skate until next Olympic Games.
V: That’s great! Let’s talk about off-ice questions, if you don’t mind.
K: ok
V: My first question is traditional. What are your hobbies?
What do you like to do in your spare time?
K: I study ( laughs), skate( laughs). I don’t have any special hobby, interest. I just try to relax.
V: Do you like to party?
K: Yes, I like . But I don’t do it very often. I like to go out, to have fun.
V: Do you have many friends, who are skaters or most of your friends are not from figure skating ?
K: Yeah, I have many friends, who are skaters. In Sweden - Filip Stiller, he is my great friend. And other skaters as well..
V: In other countries?
K: Yes, I also have friends from other countries. But I mean, I don’t meet them often.
V: Now let’s talk about your favorite things.
So your favorite color?
K: Maybe red.
V: Favorite movie?
K: I like so many different movies. For example, “The Lord of the rings”.
V: Favorite place( country, city)?
K: I went to Dubai. It was nice. This summer I was in New York, which I really enjoyed. I also like Copenhagen.
V: Favorite food?
K: oh..Sometimes I like some kinds of fish, pasta.
V: What about sushi?
K: I don’t like it.
V: favorite drink?
K: I think, it’s juice. Maybe apple juice.
V: favorite book?
K: actually I don’t read much. The book I really enjoyed was “The Davinci Code”.
V: favorite music band?
K: Mostly I like rock-n-roll. When I was young I listened much to Guns ‘n’ Roses. But I listen to many styles.
V: Do people often recognize you?
K: You mean here?
V: Not here, of course. I mean in Sweden.
K: No. I’m not so famous (smiles).
V: Have you already seen some sightseeing in Saint-Petersburg?
K: I don’t see much. Only through window of bus.
V: I see.
