Olympic games- 2006 are finished. We’ve got many impressions!! Here are results of Scandinavian figure skaters: - Susanna Poykio(FIN): 13th place
- Kiira Korpi(FIN): 16th place
- Kristoffer Berntsson(SWE): 23d place
Kristoffer Berntsson took part in Olympic Games-2006 first time: Read his impressions: “it was great, although i could have skated better... It was fun to live in the village with all the other athletes and especially the other Swedes; usually it's only a couple of other Swedes when I go to competitions. I did skate good in the short, but it seems like the judges didn't think the same... But what happened in free program? I don’t really know, of course i felt that it was the Olympics and everything, but I wasn't nervous when I was out there and i started pretty good... i did a double salchow and fell on my tripple toe, that’s really bad. It was bad skate. I’m going to the worlds. And then I hope to skate my best” .
Filip Stiller worked as a commentator on Eurosport channel. “About the Olympics, I think that almost everything was very fair and that the judges did a good job this time. I would not put Joubert that high in presentation marks and not the Zhangs either in the free but apart from that it was all good. Koffe did a very good short but was unlucky that his opponents skated well too, the one's that were worse in presentation landed all the jumps (Pfeifer, Kovalevski) and those that missed their jumps got much better component scores (Dambier, Lindemann, Li. And that the judges didn't give him good component scores at all, I think he deserved better.
The Finnish girls did well I think, Korpi skated great and was lovely as always and Susanna started well in the free and it was a pity that she started to double her jumps, because her free is very beautiful too.”
