 ECH 2007 is over. This European championship was pretty successful for skaters from Finland and Sweden. Kiira Korpi took bronze medal. Susanna Poykio skated very good as well. Congratulations to Lina Johansson for finishing the competition in 14th place! It was best result for her. Kristoffer Berntsson took 10th place like 2 years ago in Turin and repeated his best result. But actually he was not satisfied with his result.
Read his impressions about this competition: “Well, it was a good competition, I liked Warsaw very much. I'm happy with my skate in the short program, though I had a little miss on the triple axel... I'm not that happy with my long program... Too many mistakes. But I got better components this championship and that helped me to still get a 10th place. I've worked hard on my performance and I’m happy that it paid of, now I just have to do the jumps and everything will be great :) I was disappointed after my free skating. I had pretty high hopes going in to this competition. I was seventh after short and I wanted to go up instead of down... We have the Nordics next week and then I will train at home, but for one week I will go to Malmo and train there. Anyway I try to do my best at WCH. “ |
