Season 2006/2007 is over

Season 2006/2007 is over!!!

Last competition was World Championship in Japan.
Lina Johansson took 26th place after the short program and unfortunately she did not skate free program.
Angelika Pylkina and Niklas Hogner took 15th place.
Kristoffer Berntsson became 9th and it’s his best result!
Here you can read his thoughts about successful competition:

I'm very happy with Worlds in Tokyo, my best skate and result ever. Before Worlds I had a good period of training, so I felt confident going to Japan. Training in Tokyo was also good. The short program was ok, but I had to fight for every jump, felt that it was a big competition. In the end I did a good program, with a mistake in the combination- did double toe instead of triple. The steps and spins were good and helped me into the 15th place after short. In Moscow 2005 I was in 13th place after short so it wasn't my best, and in Cup of Russia I got a few more points, but overall I’m happy. Then we had early practice in the morning before the free, but it felt good. The wait was pretty long in between, and I was pretty nervous, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing…The free program was almost completely without mistakes, just a two footed second triple flip, all the others were good and I got plus on them from the judges. And so I got a standing ovation from the audience. Incredible feeling! :) And beat my earlier record by over 20 points! Then I ran around feeling amazingly happy for a while. And watched the other skaters, passing one after the other to end up in 9th place (7th in the long). Especially good since we now have two places in men next year in Gothenburg.

Some words concerning Japan: I went there already a week before the competition so big difference in time was not a problem. I decided before the competition to just go out and trust in myself and all the training I’ve done, and it worked! After the competition I had some time to see Tokyo. It’s very special in Tokyo, and I like it very much!”
