Kristoffer Berntsson tells everything about his summer 2009!
“I had a really good summer this year. Much better then last year when I couldn't even walk after my hip surgery...During the spring, after Worlds, I did a lot of off-ice. Then in June I started skating more, when we had a camp here in Göteborg. The weather was increadible during these weeks, so I enjoyed going into the rink for a while. In July I went back to Oberstdorf. I really enjoy skating there, with good coaches and other skaters pushing you to do your best. After that I took it a little easy for a week, to regain some energy for the long season... The last weeks of July I spent in Flims, Switzerland, training for Mr Kudriavtsev again. This time I came back in one piece luckily, I've hurt myself many times there so I was a little nervous coming back... If to sum up, I worked with 4 coaches: Andrea, Michael Huth, Victor Kudryavcev and Alexander Vedenin. In August they opened the rink in Landvetter again, my home rink, and we had a camp there during August. Overall training has been working well, I feel really strong going into this season. We had a national team camp in the end of August where we showed our programs. I skated pretty well, and I got good feedback so that felt really nice. I have both new short program and new long one. Now I'm preparing for the first competition of the season where I hope my new programs will be received well.
