- Mikko, your first competition is over( Finland Trophy) . What can you say about your form this season?
- My short program was a disaster. I did not really recognize myself, it was not me. But free program I skater much better, even fire alarm did not bother me much :) So I’m really disappointed because of my short program, but I analyzed everything and will try not to repeat all those mistakes.
- Tell us about your summer.
- We had our club camp in Tampere, and then we had some other trainings here in Finland, and the conditions were really good, the whole ice rink was for just me and Valtter Virtanen. Kiira Korpi and Laura Lepisto came there too, but just for few days. So I spend my summer in Finland and it felt good.
- How are your medical studies doing?
- Actually everything is ok. I have 2 exams soon and then most of them time I will concentrate on figure skating. At the same time, I will do some research for my studies, so I hope to do big progress there. After one and half year I will have MD doctor degree.
- Do you have both new programs?
- No, only free program is new. I like it, it consists of both slow and quick parts.
- Do you participate in any skating shows?
- No, not so much. We have just some skating shows every year on Christmas in our club.
- Who is the most serious concurrent for you in Finland- Valtter or Ari-Pekka?
- I think both of them. But Ari-Pekka is number one in Finland now.
- Would you put your children into figure skating?
- I will show them different kinds of sport and then, if they like skating, they can do it. But it will be up to them.
