Kristoffer Berntsson's impressions about latest competitions- NHK Trophy, Swe. Nationals and Euros
вторник, 26 Январь 2010

“ Honestly, NHK was just really bad competition for me, nothing to say more. But after NHK I went to Romania and I skated much better, it felt good. At Nationals I skated even better than in Romania, especially free program. I did almost everything great, there were just little mistakes. It was a nice competitions and I wanted to keep working like that. And then I came here and wanted to improve everything even more. Short program was ok in Tallinn, I did double instead of triple flip, but the rest was very good. I felt confident before free program. But I made the mistake on combination and then I fell on the triple axel, after that I was hard to get back on the track. It was just bad skating. I’m very disappointed. Trainings went really good here, but this is sport! I wanted to do something special, and maybe I was too concentrated on doing something amazing, which bothered me to skate well technically. Overall, I can say that it was very interesting competition, many sportsmen skated really great, and of course it was exciting to watch Plushenko’s and Lambiel’s programs. Plushenko showed once again that he is great skater. It’s hard to say something concerning my future plans, because I don’t go to Olympics. So I can’t say anything yet about my plans for the rest of the season, we will see and I will keep you updated”

Interview with European champion 2008 Tomas Verner.
понедельник, 08 Декабрь 2008
V: Tell me some words please about your new programs this season.
T: Basically I have only one new program, it’s free skating, I kept my short program from the last year. Actually I was thinking about changing 2 programs, but then I decided to change only free program, because I really enjoy my SP and I want to skate it one more season. I guess audience like it very much as well. New free program is tango music and I just love this kind of music, it makes me feel great on the ice, there is a lot of passion. People like it too, because I chose pretty famous parts of tango. Everybody knows this music, it’s important to me.

Article about how Kristoffer and Adrian spent summer 2008
понедельник, 22 Сентябрь 2008
Kristoffer tells about his summer :

So, this summer has been a little different. First I was jumping around on my crutches for six weeks, then I could finally walk by myself... But I had to continue with the physiotherapy for many months, which I started less then a week after the surgery. So instead of skating and being away from home I've done the opposite, no skating and a lot of time at home. It's been nice though to spend a little more time with my friends and family . Then in late July I started skating a bit and in August I stepped up the training with several sessions a day. I'm happy to say the surgery was successful and it feels much better than before, but of course it's not perfect and I need a lot of training to be ready to compete. Started working on a new free program when as well, but it's still in it's making and I will need some more time before I can show it...
Maybe this summer was what I needed, to get some time away from figure skating and finding the extra motivation needed to get to the next level.

Kristoffer's plans for summer
Wednesday, 04 June 2008
"Now I'm ready to get rid of the crouches and that feels pretty good... The rehabilitation is going well, but it takes a lot of time, I want to be ready to skate now! For the first time in I don't know how many years, I will be at home during the summer . Hopefully I will start skating in July, but I'm not sure where yet. We don't have any ice in Gothenburg in July... From August we have ice in my rink in Landvetter, and then I will be ready to skate for sure! I will gradually practice more and more, things like swimming and then cycling, but I will have more time than usually to spend with my friends and family, that's something I'm looking forward to."

V: Please tell some words about yourself.
Z: My name is Zerjon Abebe. I’m from Ethiopia originally, but I’ve been living in Sweden a long time now. I came to Sweden, when I was 6-7 years old, so I call myself Swede. I grew up in Stockholm, but I moved to Gothenburg some years ago. I studied computer engineering and dancing. I’m in the dancing group, which called “Twisted Feet”. We are champions in street dance in Sweden. We dance all kinds of dance.

New interview with Kristoffer Berntsson and his thoughts about WCH2008 in Gothenburg
вторник, 08 Апрель 2008

V: Tell me about your exhibition performance on Justin Timberlake’s music. How the idea was created?

K: My choreographer Zerjon Abebe did this performance. We just listened to different love music, and these songs are popular and the style suits me, so we decided to choose “My love” and “Lovestoned”. It was fun to try. And you know, during this performance I’m killing mosquito, this thing was also idea of my choreographer, we thought that it would be more fun, if we do it with mosquito. I will skate it in WCH exhibition gala.
